Un clásico - It's so much better goin' nowhere fast

Streets of Fire, del gran Walter Hill, asignatura pendiente para mi amigo Mar.

Edito y agrego algo más:
Esta película es un clásico de Walter Hill, es de 1984. La muchachita que canta, es la hermosa Diane Lane, quien para ese entonces venía de filmar dos películas Del señor Coppola: The Outsiders y otro clásico: Rumble Fish (qué cast el de esas dos pelis).
Esta película, que tiene un soundtrack muy recomendable, es co-protagonizada por Michael Paré, que como dijo mi amigo Mar, escribo textual: "es galan de pelis pedorras", pero está muy bueno. También participaban Rick Moranis, el eterno Bill Paxton y ese señor que me encanta y aparece muuuy jovencito en el final del video: Willem Dafoe.

momentos..

No puedo decir que tengo más o menos tiempo del que he tenido por años. Lo que quizás me está faltando es interés, no sé explicarlo, pero en los pocos momentos que tengo en casa, me pierdo en la música, o en alguna peli, o en algún recuerdo.
Hoy comparto con uds. a este señor, de cuya banda no voy a escribir ni de donde salió, ni como evolucionó, ni nada por el estilo, al que le guste y no lo conozca, que creo son pocos, tómese un tiempito y googlee o youtubee.

Quien sabe por qué, tipos tan talentosos como éste se nos van tan rápido...

Pichunga

y de golpe la recordó, el nombre vino a su mente. En su niñez, bastante despojada, y siendo la menor de varios hermanos iba heredando todo.. la Pichunga fue de las pocas cosas realmente suyas que recordaba haber tenido. Ella la acompañó en esos años, y ninguna otra muñeca pudo sustituirla, es la única de la cual recordaba el nombre. Después creció, dejó sus pagos natales, y la Pichunga quedó en el olvido hasta que, pocos años atrás, su madre la encontró junto con otros juguetes, en unas cajas escondidas en algún lugar de la vieja casa.. Así llegó nuevamente a sus manos, y en un afán de destruir esa unión, esa identificación tan fuerte que tenía con esa muñeca y que ya creía olvidada y superada, la dió con algunos otros juguetes, intrascendentes en su vida, a un Hogar de chicos.. habrá tenido suerte y algún chico la habrá adoptado? alguien habrá querido a esa muñeca feucha y vulgar entre tanta Barbie?

Curiosidades y casualidades

.. diría que hay varias en mi actividad bloguera, algún día hablaré de ellas.
Hoy, el tema que nos ocupa es éste: suelo tomar clases de style defense, un tipo de clase similar al Fight-do. Como en cualquier clase, hay temas que te copan y te dan más energía y otros que menos. No es raro que la mayoría de los temas sean remix de los 80's, podría nombrar muchos, como este:



O éste, con participación del señor Tom Jones, que ya mereció post hace unos meses



Hace un tiempito me llamó la atención otro tema, tuve que googlear bastante la letra en google para encontrar que tema e intérprete era, y me encontré con esto:



Chesney Hawkes, adolescente inglés que tuvo la suerte? de pegar este tema que fue hit con todo el estilo ochentoso a inicios de los 90's, aunque quizás, por sus antecedentes familiares (por demás buenos) habrá sido su karma, no lo sabremos. El tipo hizo otros intentos pero calculo le pasó como a tantos otros pibes de grupitos de adolescentes. En eso, hay que reconocer al señor Robbie Williams, quien pudo despegarse de "Take That" rápidamente.

Este tema, fue parte de la banda de sonido de Doc Hollywood, peli protagonizada por el señor Michael J. Fox y que la verdad ni siquiera vi.

Una película donde también trabaja Michael Fox, que me gustó mucho aunque no es muy conocida, es esta:



"The Frighteners", dirigida por el señor Peter Jackson, bastante tiempo antes de LOTR (o sea, "El señor de los anillos" y demases).

Me sigue gustando más el Jackson de antes... y sí, este post es un poco como yo, no sé ni donde empiezo, ni adonde voy, ni donde termino..

estar enamorado más de seis meses puede ser patológico

Un prestigioso psiquiatra afirma que es un estado cercano a la depresión o al desorden bipolar

Hagop Akiskal es un psiquiatra reconocido en la comunidad científica de los Estados Unidos por sus trabajos sobre el humor de las personas, desde una perspectiva que mira más las cuestiones de la evolución y la química de las relaciones humanas. Invitado como orador en una de las sesiones del congreso anual de la Asociación Estadounidense para el Avance de la Ciencia contó que siempre quiso saber sobre el amor romántico: "Suena superficial y algunos colegas prefieren evitar el tema, pero las pasiones amorosas han sido un misterio que ha preocupado a muchos pensadores, como Platón y San Agustín, quien afirmaba que era una locura temporaria".

Akiskal defiende entonces "la ciencia del amor", un campo reciente de trabajo. "Décadas atrás estuve investigando el comportamiento en monos y los diferentes desórdenes del humor, y con el tiempo focalizamos también en el enamoramiento, que tiene varios síntomas: la persona no puede dormir, no puede concentrarse en otros temas, y sólo tiene una obsesión por el enamorado", explicó Akiskal. El psiquiatra hizo estudios en personas enamoradas y encontró que los niveles de serotonina, que es un neurotrasmisor en el sistema nervioso, eran similares a los de pacientes con desorden obsesivo-compulsivo. "Situaciones similares se dan en personas con depresiones. Por lo tanto, a los seis meses se puede seguir con la misma pareja, pero habría que sospechar si los síntomas del enamoramiento siguen. Es conveniente que el enamoramiento dure sólo meses. De lo contrario, se sufre demasiado", aclaró Akislal.

"Desde la ciencia del amor, nos hemos dado cuenta que los perfumes de alguna manera van en contra de la evolución. Porque necesitamos oler al otro y no enmascararlo, porque cada ser humano puede usar el olfato para descubrir si hay una histocompatibilidad con la otra persona. Por eso, es tan bueno el baile y la transpiración", opinó el psiquiatra.
